NorCal GUAA Rally Info and Links
Yesterday's rally was amazing! Many of us, from toddlers to still-spry senior citizens, Gally grads, RIT grads, and more, all came together to protest the social injustice occurring on campus and to send a message that we support the FSSA in spite of the chilly drizzly weather. We got updates on the horrifying events at 800 Florida Avenue, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20002-3695, which fired us up even more. There were inspiring speeches, cute activities involving the children, chants, rallying cries, and a modified version of the Bison Song performed by 3 Bison Song alumni.
I was impressed by how everyone came together to prepare for the rally, pitching in with support, ideas, and taking on duties as needed. This is a wonderful place to be Deaf, and I'm grateful for it because we were able to put on a fabulous show of support for our Deaf homies stuck three thousand miles away, caught in a regime of terror, intimidation, and suppression.
Here are some links to pictures, a v-log, and more. If anyone has anything to contribute from the rally, please email me and I'll add it here.
